Spring has Sprung

Lately, I've been wondering if we bypassed Spring all together here and went straight into Summer. It is hot, I mean, HOT and I hate to think about what I'm going to have to suffer through in July. The good news is, with such fabulous weather we've been able to spend A LOT of time outdoors. This past week we ventured to the local fountain for Grant and Savannah to get out some energy and get wet!

Look who got caught kissing a pretty girl again!

These two have changed so much from this time last year, click on this link to see their visit to the fountain together a year ago.
Grant is having a ball and looks just like Ron to me in this photo! Thanks Kimmy for the great pictures!

Grant's Antics

Ever since the oh-so memorable pony ride birthday party, Grant has been removing my decorative elephant from its shelf and riding it like a horse.

I think my little one is a bit confused but it's sooo entertaining! Grant loves to stack his grapes up and down his arms instead of eating them. and in case you ever wondered what my child would look like as a red head, here's your answer,
Grant's new picnic table has a red umbrella and on this particular day the sun was shining down on it and him in such a way that my shot turned out like this, a red-headed Grant!

I DID IT!

For the past two months, every spare moment I've had, I've been hard at work taking the Alabama Real Estate Saleperson Online Course. Inbetween Grant's naps, preschool and with Ron's help on the weekends I'm finally finished and I PASSED that awful gruelling test. Yes, the rumors are true, it was HARD. Now, I could jump for joy, (and I have many, many times) to have that test behind me.

Now off to work I go, at least initially, very part-time for Bellator Real Estate. Wish me luck!

Jim and Jody's Visit and Savannah Turns Two!

I've posted a few pictures of our adventures with Jim and Jody the past few days but now I'm back to officially fill in the gaps. Ron's parents arrived in Pensacola early Friday morning and we immediately embarked on eating our way around the Gulf Coast, literally. We started out at the Grand Marlin in Pensacola Beach, and enjoyed fantastic meal after fantastic meal in the few days they were here. Seafood was our main desire and we ate ourselves silly on fresh oysters, grouper, mahi and crawfish at our favorite local restaurants. I'm still recovering. We also, dare I say, "bar-hopped" Saturday night visiting the local dives in Mobile and surrounding areas that Jim had recently read about in Garden and Gun Magazine, in an article entitled, "Why Life is so Good on Mobile Bay." I encourage you all to click on the grey hyperlink above to read it and then all hurry down here for a visit! After visiting five bars we finally made it back to relieve the babysitter and we all felt a little more dare I say again, "cultured?"

I was thrilled beyond belief when Jody presented me with this amazing work of art that she has been slaving over for almost two years... Grant's Christmas stocking that she personally needlepointed and put together. Can you say, "Wowza!" To truely appreciate this and understand the amount of work that went into this masterpiece, you have to see it in person. Grant and I will enjoy pulling this keepsake out year after year to admire his Mimi's hardwork!

THANK YOU JODY! YOU ARE AMAZING! Saturday afternoon we celebrated Grant's best buddy, Savannah's second birthday! Savannah invited all of her friends to the Little Gym for some gymnastics lessons, a lot of controlled chaos, and of course some cake! Savannah celebrated her big day in a Daisy Faye Designs Tee made by my friend Kim. If you recall, Grant loves Gymnastics. Ron took him to the Little Gym every Saturday last fall. As you can see in this previous post, Grant has become a lot more brave since his early days as a "little bird!"
Mimi showing Grant how to hang upside down like a monkey!
He loved it and was so brave!
Savannah was the star of the show in the center of the parachute as we all sang "Happy Birthday to You," while spinning her around and around.
Trying to balance on the high beam with encouragement from the birthday girl.
Grant is completely fearless, he loves tackling all the tricks and challenges the teachers sent his way. He can now do a somersault flip on his on, videos to come!
Eating cake, I'm happy to report, he didn't get a single drop of that chocolate cupcake on his shirt. Every bit went in his mouth!
Inbetween birthdays, fabulous food and many outings there was also lots of down time to enjoy being with eachother and experiencing the everyday, not so normal life of Yaeger. We love and cherish the time spent with family. Afterall, that's what life is all about, the little things like Poppy teaching Grant the word, "Tractor" or Mimi finally teaching him how to drink out of a straw, halleluiah! Thank you so much for coming to see us, we love you!

ROAR!

Grant is loving having his Grandparents visit from North Carolina, we have packed so much in the past few days. I have great pictures to come but for now these will have to suffice. Here's our trip to the park this morning after a fantastic lunch with Dada. By the way, I'm loving this new Blogger app I just downloaded to my phone. Now, I can blog on the go and within seconds share photos with you of our adventures.
