15 Months

I'm overdue to post some new photos of my toddler (tear, sniff, sniff, what happened to my baby?) I never did a 14 month post so now I'm posting a 15 month post a week early and trust me, a lot can happen in a week with one this age. Grant is surprising us daily with all of his accomplishments. He continues to build on his vocabulary and started saying "duck" this week. He also now points to himself and says, "gunt," basically pronouncing the "g" and the "t." This is after he points at himself and says, "Dada." and we say, "Nooo..."
Grant is now walking full speed ahead. It's amazing how quick he is and his new favorite thing is to grab one of his many balls around the house and try to go throw it in the toilet. Right now, keeping Grant out of the toilet is our biggest struggle. He also loves to grab the toilet bowl brush and walk around the house waving it like a sword. (Gross, I know.) Grant has a foam sword that his Dada bought for him on our trip to Beaufort and Grant loves to play with the sword slashing it through the air complete with the sound effects of swish, swish, swish.
Grant is still a wonderful eater, his favorite vegetable is broccoli and his favorite fruit is grapes. He also loves peas, carrots and bananas. Although he is a wonderful eater, mealtime is also a struggle because Grant loves to pick up his food and throw it on the floor. He laughs and thinks it's a game. He also punches holes with his fingers in his steamed veggies and crushes his cereal and crackers before he swipes his tray clean with his arm and hand making a HUGE mess. We are working on the whole disciplining thing and the word, "NO!"
Grant recently enjoyed 12 whole days with his Grandmama Tew, she came to visit from North Carolina and she continues to make him laugh like no one else can. Overall, Grant is growing up too fast, these are the times when I'm glad that I'm a blogger. Glad, that I can look back over the past 15 months when I wonder where in the world the time went? So... on with the pics.
Grant finally received his big boy chair his grandparents gave him for his first birthday 3 months later after it was sent to the incorrect address in New Hampshire. Thanks, Land of Nod.

Playtime is so much fun!
Grant and Benton at Benton's first birthday party
Grant enjoying the bouncy house
Grant's buddy Luke trying to escape Grant's rath, he later tried desperately to put Luke's pacifier back in his mouth.
Grant loves to read! He takes every book off of his shelf daily. I have to supervise this of course because he has destroyed several of his books. He loves to shred the pop up books and tear out the pages of the remaining books.
" Who, me?"
Grant sporting Ron's overalls he had as a toddler. They fit Grant perfectly and look very current, how fitting that they have tools all over them? :)
Enjoying cuddling with Dada before bedtime. This was actually taken last night and my little pumpkin had a temp of 103! I took him to the doc today and he has an ear infection. He's now resting and on the mend, here's hoping for a speedy recovery and that his 15th month goes by in slow motion.

The Weekend in Mobile Uploads...

How convenient it is to always be able to snap photos or videos of the things we do and places we go on our phones. I find that my best pics are on my phone. I thought I would share a brief overview with you of our crazy busy weekend relived via cell phone uploads...
Grant fell asleep on the way to school Friday with the remnants of an ice cream cone in his mouth. I was desperate, he is teething and was cranky so I gave him an ice cream cone at 9am. Big deal, worked like magic!
Saturday night my very photogenic husband and I joined some friends for a night out in a limousine!
"Big Pimpin" as Laurie would say...
I worked like a dog all weekend making curtains for our family room, yes, I made them!
Grant went to a birthday party with Dada and loved playing with all the balls
and also going down the BIG slide!
There was also a little time for Grant and Dada to come by and see me at work...

Daisy Faye Designs

Remember my crafty friend Kim?
She surprised Grant with three appliqued onsies a matching bib and shoes for his first birthday,
I'm excited to announce that Kim has started her own business, Daisy Faye Designs! She has gotten off to a great start specializing in appliqued onesies for babies and toddler tee's. She also has a great flair for pillowcase dresses, skirts and burp cloths. Kim has been slammed with orders since starting up her business a couple of weeks ago and has attracted quite the following on facebook. It's always exciting to get a text message from one of your best buds telling you she just made one of these for your son, just because...
Here's a custom gift set Kim made for a baby boy's baby shower gift.

I don't Think So...

"I don't think so, Mom!"
And this mess is what I came home to last night. Looks like Grant and Daddy had fun at bathtime with mathematics. Grant got all of his equations right except for the number that came after Mom...
"I don't think so, Ron!"

Look Who's Walking!

Grant took his first steps last Friday! I apologize to his Grandparents for just now getting this posted for your viewing pleasure! I just haven't gotten a decent video of Grant showing off his new skill until this morning! Our world is about to be turned upside down...
