Introducing James Henry (finally)

On May 9th at 8:49am, Ron, Grant and I welcomed the newest addition to our family into this world.  James Henry was born at Mobile Infirmary via Cesarean delivery by Dr. Max Rogers.  It was love at first sight!  Before the delivery the doctors all took bets on the babies size, I guessed he would be 8 pounds and 21 inches like his brother and he came out looking mighty big and healthy.  The doctors all thought we had underestimated our little guy because he appeared to be a big baby with a head full of dark hair!  James weighed 8 pounds, one ounce and was 21 inches long.  He has long fingers and long toes and is just perfect.  We are all so in love, our hearts are full!
I'm quickly finding out how much more demanding having two children is, obviously so with my lack of blogging.  We were lucky enough to have our families here to welcome the baby and my Mom stayed on for three weeks after James was born.  Due to the C-section I was very limited in my abilities to move around so having her help was invaluable with a two year old that constantly wants to be picked up and loves to rough house!
James will be four weeks tomorrow and we are finally getting into our own groove.  We were blessed with what they call a "good" baby meaning he mostly seems content around the clock which is a blessing compared to his brother's newborn days.  He only cries during the "witching hour" or when he's hungry/wet.  He even has settled into somewhat of a schedule with his feedings at night and when hungry, simply awakes, moves around and makes just enough noise to let me know it's time.  Grant loves being a big brother and constantly bestows kisses on James.  He says, "I love my baby brother!"  and when he walks into the room or wakes up in the morning the first thing he asks is, "Where's my baby?"  The hardest part on Grant was in the very beginning when he could not understand why Mommy couldn't pick him up.  He would cry and throw tantrums and it broke my heart.  We are all very well adjusted to date and Ron and I are truly grateful to have the Lord bless us and trust in us to raise such loving, beautiful boys.
